We crave for an/a/some escape, a place/safety/shelter where the pain/suffering/anguish can fade/disappear/evaporate, but often/always/sometimes the darkness persists/holds tight/remains. It's in these moments of isolation that we must find/create/forge our own/internal/personal light/strength/will. We must face/confront/stand against the emptiness/void/terror, and discover/remember/unearth the powerful spirit that lies within/deep inside/at our core.

A Heavy Blanket of Insomnia

Insomnia can be heavy weight upon your mind and body. You toss and turn, searching for sleep to come. The hours crawl by, each one an eternity filled with anxieties and exhaustion. This lingering state of wakefulness transforms you into a prisoner in your own bed.

Aching for Sweet Oblivion

The grip of oblivion was a siren's call, a whispered promise of release. To fade in its shadows was to quell the incessant noise of existence. The reality's sharp edges blurred under the influence of its sweetness.

To truly crave oblivion was to ache for a passing respite from the cruelty of being.
